Soon, you will be able to register websites that end in ".xxx" as opposed to ".com" or ".org". As eMedia lawyer Travis Crabtree explains in his recent blog post (here's the link), if you have a website, you should consider taking some simple steps now to prevent others from trying to register and operate a ".xxx" site based on your website name.
As they say, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Taking steps now to pre-reserve your website name will certainly be easier than having to deal with this issue when a cybersquatter tries to extort money from you by taking advantage of the opportunities provided by this new ".xxx" designation.
